It's that time of year where people look back and see all they they accomplished... or didn't. I'm fairly proud of writing all the music that I did. While technically my last post ended at week 51, I did manage to remix 3 tracks on the side while also producing my own music. So I count that as a win. Not to mention managed to assemble a great techno mix.
The upcoming year will be quite different than the last. This year I will be polishing up my best tracks from the previous year and submitting demos. The goal is to get something officially released, if not this year, then by early next year. But that's going to take a lot of work. Work is beginning on a live set that I'm envisioning as both exciting and creatively flexible enough for spontaneity. It may require some new hardware to assist in the process.
The last goal of mine is to get out there more. It turns out I'm a lot like Rachel Maddow in that I need an assigned task. Weather it's doorman, bar tender or performer/dj. But this year I'm going to try to just go out and relax. You never know until you give it a consistent chance.
So here's to a new and brand new shiny year. May it be the best one of your life thus far! Enjoy!
