This is the last proper track. After this I'm putting together a "blooper reel" of tracks that didn't quite make the cut but have some great moments in them. This is a bit inspired by the cold harsh winters here in Minnesota. Everything seems to freeze over, including the sky.

A double track Thursday. I admit that last Thursday was the first time all year that I neglected to post a new track within 24 hours. In my weaker moments I thought of quitting all together. I had come close enough to my goal. But then with some outside persuasion I decided to press on and find my inspiration. So I've worked extra hard to give you two new tracks this week. Only three more. Then on to the next phase of my artistic pursuits. A nice jamming live techno set for you. Stay tuned.
It's better to burn out than to fade away. Or at least so they say.
It's that time again. I'll be DJing the North Star Roller Girls bout this Saturday again. You can check out the event here www.northstarrollergirls.com. You can expect more punk rock than usual I'm trying to bend to the theme a bit more. But don't worry there will still be plenty of techno.
NSRG also featured on MPR recently which you can check out here: blogs.mprnews.org/daily-circuit/2013/11/inside-a-roller-girls-bout. Wandering around the city, searching for life. The melancholic feel of a dark foggy night surrounded by blurry lights.
Only a 6 more tracks to go before I've completed this journey. Then what? I'm not sure I can keep this up without more free time/ getting paid to do more of what I love. So next year is going to be the focus of a bangin' live show. Maybe throw some synths and fresh midi controllers in for good measure. Perhaps some visuals too, but that is beyond my expertise. A new year is calling. It's almost time to see what it brings. And now a break from our regularly scheduled techno...
You're lost in the woods. You know it. It was just that one wrong turn, but now you can't get back. It's been dark for several hours. Then something catches your eye. Was that something moving? Nah. It must have been your imagination. Moving quicker you can sense something out there, waiting and watching. As you start to run your heartbeat gets stronger until it's all you can hear. Gasping for breath you keep running into the night. Suddenly the full moon breaks from behind the clouds and.... So this was a sort of thought/cat experiment. One of my cat's as usual was trying to hang out with me while writing some music and decided to climb all over my keyboard. So I thought it might be interesting to hit the record button on some synths and see what she came up with. In the end the experiment was so terrifying and almost primal that I had to include it in my weekly post, especially since it fit with Halloween. Enjoy! As each week goes by I still can't believe that I can keep up with this project. In case anyone hasn't tried producing a solid musical piece of music each and every week, let me assure you, it's difficult. But the pleasant side effect is that it flushes out all the distracting ideas and actually generates more. Like a tree carefully pruned it produces more than you thought it was capable of.
So this week the cold is on my mind. Winter is coming and there's no where to hide.... unless I flee south. But that doesn't seem to be in the cards for now. So in the meantime I'll just let it be my muse. Stay tuned as I've also been working on a mixtape of sorts that will be your winter audio blanket. Enjoy! It's the 42nd week. At least I get to continue making music now that the gov shutdown has been averted. No thanks to those who only wishes to punish the weak and to heap more wealth upon the wealthy. The dysfunctional attitudes did feed into my darker side and pushed to the front reverb drenched beats. Pour yourself an "apocalypse averted" ale and take a listen.
